The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing of the City Boys Movement, over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed to TheCable on Saturday that Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8. “She is in our custody,” Oyewale stated.
The arrest follows the anti-graft agency’s earlier declaration of the 41-year-old Lagos indigene as wanted in April. At the time, the EFCC released her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja, and urged the public to provide information on her whereabouts.
Tejuosho had previously been investigated over claims linked to an appointment and contract scam. In June 2025, she was interrogated after complaints that she collected money from individuals while promising to secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts. Investigators alleged she used fake appointment letters and forged documents to persuade victims of her ability to facilitate such opportunities.
She is the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited and was earlier granted administrative bail as probes continued. After she was declared wanted, the City Boys Movement suspended her from her position pending the outcome of the investigation.
The EFCC has not released further details on the ongoing case.
