President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to grant him a second chance to address what he termed “past abnormalities,” according to a post shared Friday by the popular account Nigeria Stories.
The message, which quickly drew significant attention online, comes as the president’s administration continues to navigate economic pressures and public scrutiny over reforms implemented since 2023. Similar appeals for more time to correct cumulative mistakes from previous governments were made around Nigeria’s Independence Day commemorations last month.
Reactions on X were largely skeptical. Users voiced strong opposition in the replies. One commenter,
