A row has emerged between EGR Dave Umahi and former Anaambra State governor Peter Obi, after Dave Umahi said Mr. Obi publicly rebuked him at a construction site where he was working.
According to Umahi, he did not criticise Mr. Obi beforehand. He alleged that Mr. Obi initiated the criticism by visiting the site and castigating him in public, which he described as "very unfair."
Umahi said his only comment was a general observation that those who continually condemn others bring judgment upon themselves.
He also faulted Mr. Obi for not cautioning his supporters. He cited a remark reportedly made by one follower, who said that even if Jesus contested an election, Mr. Obi would win. He said that statement is an affront to the Christian faith and said he expected Mr. Obi to publicly disown it.
"We all determine our own destinies," he added.
The account could not be independently verified, and Mr. Obi had not publicly responded to the claims at the time of filing this news.
